I CAN
I CAN
I Samuel 14:6 “Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, "Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us. For nothing restrains the LORD from saving by many or by few."
NKJV
Another version puts it this way: “Jonathan said to the young man, "Let's cross over to the camp of those heathen Philistines. Maybe the LORD will help us; if he does, nothing can keep him from giving us the victory, no matter how few of us there are."
TEV
Wouldn’t you agree that Jonathan, the son of Saul, the not-too-wise king, had an “I CAN” attitude and determination in his voice?
We can say many things about Saul but get right to the meat of the Word and learn the lesson God is teaching us. I CAN but…only when God is in it. If I don’t invite God’s Control, it won’t happen. Jonathan said, “…it may be that the Lord will work for us.” Don’t mistake his statement as a negative or doubting comment on his part, or that he was about to put God to the test. I believe that Jonathan totally trusted God to deliver the Philistines into his hands and give him the victory over them. “Jonathan's resolution arose from the strong conviction that Israel was the nation of God, who would not refuse His help to His people in their conflict with the foes of His kingdom, if they would only put their whole trust in Him.”

Folks, I see it like this…when I am relying on God to do it in and through me, and I keep my focus on HIM, HE will do it through me…no matter what my circumstances are. I CAN.
I see God’s Hand in all that goes on around me every day…moment by moment. I am learning the lesson here. Come and learn it with me.
Be Blessed because GOD is the “I CAN” GOD
